No, there is no official demo of L4D as of yet.

All we have are gameplay trailers and video interviews.

We will announce very clearly if/when a demo is released.

Uh, we didn't delay the release...

TRS and Valve delayed the release because it wasn't finished. Which is good because it means we get a much better game and don't have to wait 3 months after it comes out to d/l 600 patches to fix up a buggy game.
