Do any of you remember Unreal Tournament 2004 (I think anyways) it had a game scenario where the monsters just kept coming in timed waves. Each wave lasted longer and longer with increasingly more difficult monsters. The whole point was just to kill as many monsters as possible and last as long as you could.

L4D needs a game scenario like that as well. Sort of like an "endless last stand" and the game would keep track of how long you and your friends could last and how many zombies you killed before you all died. It would make for a good competition, people could post their team scores (time lasted and zombies killed in that time).
In my mind the arena should be large and pretty much open with every survivor starting with the 1st tier weapons, some pipe bombs, an ammo cache and 1 med pack and pills a piece. Then after 4 or 5 waves you should be allowed to upgrade to the 2nd tier weapons.
The purpose is simple...to last as long as possible....thoughts???
