Favourite Game?

Yes, that's right. It was only a matter of time before someone made this thread and I though Hell! Why shouldn't it be me?! And now... Yeah, you see the result.

Anyway, what's your favourite game? Oh and, the first person to say "<game name>" and nothing more... Well I'll attack you with the +REP thing until you are so far in the negative that you'll start thinking; maybe it is possible to get to infinite... LoL.
I want reasons people! You have to say WHY. Capiche? Excellent.

Now, for my say.

My favourite game is H λ L F - L I F E. The original. None of this HL2 bullshit.

Its my favourite because it presents a challenge more so than any other game I play. And the environments are awesome, hell, the graphics are still acceptable almost 10 years later.

Because, its online play with teamwork. Also its updated so it has better graphics.

cs:source is pretty good but you said its teamwork and i think thats bullshit unless your in a good clan. my favorite game right now untell L4D comes out is deadrising for the xbox360. 2nd fav is killing floor a mod for ut2004 ( its a zombie mod

well, sir corey, i must say a stand out game from what i can remember is definitely Call of Duty 4. great visuals, gameplay, multiplayer - overall and excellent game. however HL is also a great game, i remember being scared of those aliens back when i was about 6!

CoD4 is a great game. The AI lacks a bit (keep going to the same spot, shoot one guy, wait with reticule in same spot, shoot next guy)...

Gmod, the best $10 you will ever spend. Gmod has limitless potential and allows you to play on any of the levels from the source games (Hl2 through to TF2) where you can spawn and manipulate objects or you can pose ragdolls, along with face posers which allows you to change expressions [/salespitch]

Here is soem stuff I made in Gmod, showing you all the stuff you can do! Note: screens were not edited in Photoshop but were altered using tools in the game (colour, Depth of field, bloom etc.)

I've always had a thing for Legend of Zelda. I think Twilight Princess has been my fave so far. Good graphics, plays well, lots of different enemies, and epic music. Also for TP the horseback battles were amazing.

I like halo 3 online, I like the way it's balanced, it's action and fairly good maps, but unfortunately xbox live is full of hooting dickholes; which puts me off buying an xbox360 of my own.
