Annoying Things Teammates Say

These are actual quotes from teammates I had the misfortune to be on the same team with. Feel free to add your own.

1. On NM4: "This part gets very confusing, so everybody stay in line behind me because I know where to go".

2. Every single time a Witch is heard: "Everybody turn off their lights NOW! NOW! I MEAN IT!" (One time, we had already passed her but the idiot didn't even notice and was still screaming about lights...)

2a. "Thanatos - sneak up to the Witch and headshot her - but wait until we get up on these crates!". He wasn't joking.

3. After standing 1 foot away trying to shoot a Smoker as I went from green to red before he finally killed it: "Let's kick Thanatos - he's slowing us down!"

4. Trying to bypass a horde event on Normal: "DO YOU WANT TO DIE OUT HERE?! Then help us knock the door down!"

5. In a squeaky 10 YO voice, after being told to quit talking constantly: "Fine fags! Let's see how far you all get without my help." (We beat the campaign. He quit as soon as he realized we were going to WITHOUT HIS HELP.).

6. On Dead Air Finale, Normal. As he tried to melee the machine gun to get on the plane, I started the Finale: "(Disgusted laugh) Have fun being surrounded by THE HORDE.

I'm sure I've forgotten about 1000 other quotes just as bad, if not worse than these, but it's a start.

The thing I hate is not what people say, but idiots who insist on binding "Boomer" or "Death Scream" and spamming it over and over. I'd rather quit than play with with constant, repeated noise.

The Pro-noob

Probably the type of player i get annoyed most of all in this game or any game.
Everytime I see them I will make sure to roast him for every little mistake he does in hopes that he comes to his senses and understands he is actually just a regular noob and make him stfu

They always keep yelling to the team to do really stupid stuff.
Thanatos got a few good quotes from these kinda players.

I'm not this bad to noobs, it's just these pro-noobs I cant tolerate.
Someones gotta put em in their place.

He never said that he didn't comply with what they wanted, or atleast achieved the overall goal the team was after. The only time he did that was on the Dead Air Finale and possibly the NM3 Panic Event. Both of those times they were using exploits on the normal setting. They were doing unnecessary things to bypass some of the most fun parts of the game.

Also, maybe they should let him play how he wants. Ever think of it that way?

NM 2, just past the crescendo event in the hallway past the ammo room;Some idiot picks up a gasoline tank and puts it back in the ammo room and says when a tank is coming "OK guys, I'm an expert at this, the tank is going to come from back here where we came, I'll shoot the can, and we run and shoot." So when the screen is rumbling that means the tank is near, he shoots the can, tank appears, and beats us all down. =(

This is the rant forums, so he is allowed. But I hate people who are disrespectfull to other players just cause they arent up to par to their standards. Assholes seem to be rampant on L4D. And to me it just seems really immature. Just have fun and chill out.

I play with new/unskilled players players all the time and I don't have a problem with them, generally. I never discriminate against players just because they are new to the game. In fact, I try to help them as much as possible.

The ones I have HUGE problems with players who insist telling everybody else what to do and where to go. Even if you are the best player on the team (which 9/10 times they aren't, if I am playing), I don't need you to lead me through the game, you fucking retard. Just keep your fucking mouth shut and play - as a teammate, not as a "leader". Nobody's impressed by your awesome leading skills. It's not my fault you have a small penis/live in your mom's basement/are told what to do by teachers and/or your McDonald's shift manager all day and you try to regain a shred of dignity by controlling three strangers in a video game. I'm not going to put up with it.

I also have problems with losers who try to bypass crescendo events. I make it as difficult for them as possible by (a) calling for a kick as soon as I see it (b) setting off the events as soon as I see that they are trying to bypass them, and (c) in some cases, like on Dead Air Finale, I will even throw a molotov at the machine gun to keep them from meleeing it. Is that wrong? Am I an asshole?

Haha, I totally agree. Especially when they continually announce the obvious as if they are guiding a team of special needs..

Get a mic. I agree kicking someone for it is really unfair since its not completely your fault, but sometimes they may distracted, and unless you yell for help they might not be aware you were grabbed...
