Extremely Weird Black Background Problem
Alright I think I have an graphics error that even Google can not help with.
The problem is NOT that my graphics card freezes or game crashes or my video card can't support the requirements.
The problem starts when I am performing an in game action such as bandaging myself and others, climbing ladders, pouncing others or getting pounced by a Hunter, or using the Minigun. The moment I press the button "e" or "w" (to walk up ladder), the screen image FREEZES at that specific frame. Funny thing is, I can still "blindly" interact as I can still see the HUD and the outline of teammates moving AS I MOVE MY MOUSE. The sound stays consistent and does not loop meaning that it is not lag, and that the game is still running smoothly for me. The background image either freeze frames when I perform the above actions, or the background just turns black when I perform the action. I repeat, I CAN move around (as I see the HUD and outlines of teammates moving/revolving around me as I move my mouse, it is just the background image that freeze frames/ turns black). Basically the game is still running but the image on the screen seems to freeze at that frame UNTIL I stop performing the action (finish climbing/jumping off ladder, exit Minigun seat, someone saves me from a pounce).
Another funny thing is that if I move my mouse when I'm at these freeze frames, SOMETIMES I can get a glimpse of the actual background that's progressing with the game AS I land my mouse on a SPECIFIC angle, as at that specific angle the image flashes back on, but anywhere other than specific angle that I look at with my mouse, the on screen image reverts back to a freeze frame/ black background with the teammates outlines and HUD.
I've tried doing everything to solve this problem, and even Google'd some methods, but I have not gotten any advice to solve a problem like this (this is why I'm here). I've tried changing my graphic settings to the LOWEST possible (The game still runs smoothly when I use high settings so it shouldn't be graphics card problem), I've tried allocating to one processor instead of dual core processing, I've tried playing in windows mode, etc. But nothing seems to solve this strange problem. I've basically tried everything possible but the freeze frames just won't go away. It's not really a hindrance to the game, but it is EXTREMELY annoying as it is pretty much like being flashbanged when I perform the above actions.
It has to be something to do with background rendering or something like that (Direct X files? Remember, I can still see the correct background when my mouse is at a specific position).
Any and all help would be much appreciated.
