Smoker and Hunter should regain health after time!


Rants: Upset about some feature of Left4Dead or Left4Dead2?

I think it would be good thing to add to the game because I hate when i'm smoker or hunter i've got 50 hp i'm pretty much useless. Something like 3 hp a sec or 6hp whatever the health gain is it would help.

i think it actually may be useful - as long as it's not 6hp a second. Something like 5 hp every 5 seconds or some thing like that.

basically it serves the point of "Do I stay here and restore health, or do I attack anyway, even though I'll be killed in one bullet"

only if your not attack the survivors but if your just sitting there and restoring hp then yeah i see how its useful.

You can't really say it's overpowering, because it's just as easy to kill them even if they do have health regen. Especially if they don't get the regen when they're being shot at.

An autoshotgun to the face kills a Hunter/Smoker in one/four hits (depending by how far) Either Valve gives the SI (Mostly Hunter and Smoker) more HP or give them a small HP Regeneration for 1 health every 1 second.

I think this is a great idea. Usually if you jump at someone and miss, you usually get shot at and might die. If you don't you're at very little health, and will be killed in one hit. I like the 1 HP per second system.

When the hunter and smoker should regain health is when they've got no pounce or snare when there out of sight of the survivors or when the hunter isn't in mid-flight.

It can actually be a very strategic part of the game. Imagine being a hunter, you pounce, you hit, you get meleed off and you crawl/pounce away into the shadows. Big decision. Sit and restore health (letting the survivors get closer to the safehouse) or leave the health and go for a 25-pointer??

Lotsa strategy here...

SI regen sounds like a great idea. boomers and spitters would gain 2 per sec. hunters, jockeys, and smokers would gain 4 per sec, and charger would gain 6 per sec.

Dead people dont slow me down to the pace of a snail when just one is hitting me either >.< nor do smokers survive jumping out right in front of me, and then pulling me whilst im unloading the entire contents of my AK at them either. (happened to me last night that did on scavenge...)

I quite like this infected regen idea, just so long as it is fairly minimal, as regen is not gonna make it any harder to kill a charger or hunter thats pinned someone, it will just make things better to play as infected

Dead people usually dont Have huge arms, Insanely large tongues, Jump massive heights, Puke out green ooze.

The 'zombies' of L4D aren't dead. They have enough coordination to run and climb, and even feel pain and bleed when shot set on fire. They're a 28 Days Later type of zombie. :P
