I remember watching his kong fu tv series back in the 1970s. David was a well respected person who always made good movies.

The kong fu series was on TV back in the 1960s and 1970s - before vhs videos or dvds were ever invented. VCR players did not become popular until the mid - late 1980s, and then they cost $600 - $800. DVDs did not become popular until the 1990s - over 2 decades after the kong fu series was on TV.
