Game Crashes Every Twenty Minutes or So with Looping Sounds
First off, let me say that I've tried all of the suggested diagnostics at:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...hp?p_faqid=150 , which is where the error message tells me to go.
Here is the exact error message that pops up:
Internal Driver Error at Present. Need help resolving this issue
and I've also tried the suggestion that the guy gives about expanding paged pool memory via hexadecial.
If anyone can help, it would be SO appreciated. Even if you don't have a solution, anything will help at this point.
Here's my specs:

Yeah, i tried all of his suggestions, but it's not helping.
The wierd thing is that I've had this on two different computers (both the same make and model) and its done the same thing both times.
However, I have noticed it crashes less now after I updated the BIOS. The framerate will plummet to 1 or 2 and sounds will loop for like 8 seconds, but it will only crash about half the time.
My framerate goes way down and sounds start looping whenever zombies swarm, or theres a medium amount going on. I really sucks because it's making the game unplayable really since the framerate is horrible and eventually it just kicks me off.
Also, I'm trying taking the settings ALL the way down, but it doesn't seem to be helping. In fact, it may be getting worse.

We seem to get quite a few people who are having problems running L4D on laptops. I don't know if any of them have been successful in getting the game to run satisfactorily.
You might try lowering your desktop resolution, since it looks like you have it set to 1280. Set it at 800x600 or so. Then go into the game and set those settings to low and see what happens.
The fact that your framerate drops during a zombie swarm tells me that your video card isn't capable of rendering all the entities on the screen without lagging.
Other than resetting your drivers or reloading the game, I don't have any other suggestions for you.
Sorry.

Well, its alright. Thanks for the suggestion with the resolution, I hadn't tried that yet.
But I guess I'm going to have to face facts and get a better video card.
Thanks for all your help though!
