Smoker Smoke
I think the Smokers smoke should have a bigger affect on the survivors in L4D2,
here are some of my ideas
-it could reduce someones accuracy for 15 seconds or something after walking through it, and extremely reduce while in the smoke
-it could have a survivor walk slower, or maybe stumble while in the smoke
-it could have the player Cough, this could make the player unable to shoot, so you may need others to help shoot infected off you if theres a horde
-or it could act as fog, the player in the smoke would be able to see other player's sillouettes, and players outside the smoke couldnt see the player(s) in the smoke.
-maybe it could affect the players sound/hearing....they wouldnt beable to hear SI around them

I think it should slowly diminish your health, maybe 5HP every 2 seconds

That would make the smoker a little overpowered.
I think the OP's suggestions are good enough.

Lowering accuracy would be the most logical thing to do.

It's not really uncreative, the smoker's smoke needs a buff, the only good thing is does is to augment boomer bile and make the survivors completely blind and their coughing blocks out sounds from other survivors being pounced/smokered.

I actually thought that the Smokers smoke, should be something like the Boomers bile. What I mean is after the Smoker explodes, that the smoke stay on the people in a 5ft radius. Then the infected could come running up.

that would make the boomer just a weaker smoker.
plus if it were like that, an infected team could consantly send endless hordes of zombies towards the survivors...

that would definitely make it too over powered and removes the point of a smoker that he should be a long range weapon.

It used to be alot thicker and cut off voice com. along with that the smokers tongue used to poison and the further u were dragged, the more poisoned u became. They eventually took that out and made pills the only temp health. Finally, with the un-nerfed smoke, yyou used to be able to manually deploy it once per life.

He's good as he is... If VALVe adds something to the smoke in L4d2, then it will most likely be poison smoke that reduces your HP 1 health every 2 seconds your in it...

I really don't like that idea, flashes in Css cuting off voice com was one of my least favourite things in that game, realistic but lame.
I like the reduce accuracy idea a lot, that way if a smakers in trouble he can kamakazi like a boomer and help contribute to his vomit.

Maybe it could take away 5 health a second, but it would be slowly replaced after you exited the cloud
Like underwater damage

Another thing I believe they should fix for the Smoker is the length he can drag a Survivor. I can't tell you how many times I've thought I've had a really good idea as to where to be as the Smoker, only to discover that I am too far & that I can't reach the survivors with my tounge. They should have a message telling you that you're tounge won't reach the Survivors from where you are, like when it tells you that you are too close/can be seen by the survivors.

They should either make the smoke do damage(it'll help counter corner camping), up the damage the drag does, or increase the speed the target is dragged and up the damage the clawing action does.
-or it could act as fog, the player in the smoke would be able to see other player's sillouettes, and players outside the smoke couldnt see the player(s) in the smoke.
-maybe it could affect the players sound/hearing....they wouldnt beable to hear SI around them
Doesn't it already do that?

i dont think it makes sillouettes disappear,
and it does interupt sound alittle with the coughing, but it could interupt it more

I like the idea of having the same affect as being underwater, it lowers your health slowly but that regenerates when you leave the smoke.

No doubt. Smoking is bad for you. There should be some negative effect...

How a cutscene of one of the survivors getting lung cancer or something at a later age, that would be pretty depressing.
