Kitty and Korgii's Battle Royale

Hello Forum Members!!

Kitty and I sat down the other night and came up with a grand old idea.

We're hosting a tournament!!

Date: August 17 – August 22

All teams must post here with the GamerTags of their team as well as a Team name (yes cheesy but we need to keep track of you all)
Kitty and Korgii will designate a Team Leader
Leaders of opposing teams will take a picture of the ending scores so we can see who clearly won
If any glitching/haxing is suspected please report to either Kitty or Korgii and we will decide if a rematch is in order.
At least one game will take place per night
Game times are in EST ask for a conversion if needed
Game times will be from 12 pm EST until 8 pm EST
Teams must have at least 4 members at most 6 in case one player(or more) is unable to make a match

RULES:

If you need a time change please contact WelshKorgii or KittyinaTopHat at least 12 hours before the scheduled time. This way we can send it to out to everyone that there is a change.
No name calling, teasing, teabagging, etc. If we receive multiple reports that your team is doing this we will disqualify you.
No cheating, glitching, or hacking. We know its hard to cheat in VS, but if we suspect a team of cheating we will disqualify you.
To ensure fairness, each team leader will be made to take a picture of the final scores. If there is a difference in the scores you will be made to have a rematch. If it happens a second time you will be disqualified.

Prizes:
We will award prizes to the members of the winning team as well as the MVP
Prizes are currently being worked out.

How it will work:

Kitty and Korgii, along with a team of volunteers, will set up a private lobby and invite the Team Leaders.
From there we will hand the lobby over to one of the leaders; leaders will then invite their team to the game. Both teams will take a photo of the lobby at the start and finish so we can see that the team’s players were there from start to finish.
At the end of the game photos will be sent to Kitty and/or Korgii for comparison and the winner will be determined from there; winning team moves on to the next round.

Leaders must belong to the forums, this way we can keep track of scores. If a team is suspected of breaking the rules, message gamer WelshKorgii on xbox Live stating what happened.

This topic will be updated as we get closer to the tournament so keep an eye on it

We also need volunteers to set up lobbies while Kitty or myself are out.

Any prize suggestions are much appreciated, but please keep them in the budget range of a poor college student as I am paying for these prizes completely out of my own pocket.

Damn, why in August? My summer vacation is already over then so I can't join even I would really really want to.

Its the only time me and Kitty are free from work and we're not in school yet so...sorry :\

Provided I have my Live account back up and running, am not on holiday, not working, not still completely addicted to Prototype (got it on Saturday), not suffering from bad broadband connection and not otherwise engaged, I'll play.

UPDATES ARE IN RED! I've added the first team and the volunteers, as well as a rule regarding team leaders.

Shock Collar is actually looking for 2 more members in the event one or two of us are unable to make a match. If anyone wants to join us please PM me.

I would make a team and become the Leader... but no other team members who would join... since they don't come here, or they do but aren't as good as me.

The whole team doesn't need to belong to the forums, just the leader.

I'll volunteer for any team that needs an extra man, but can't 100% guarantee that I'll be able to play on the dates Korgii gave.

In the meantime, however, if anyone wants to get in a bit of practice, I'm a pretty experienced player and I should be online most mornings/afternoons GMT for the next few weeks. If anyone's interested, send a message (not friend request) to Lindell84 (not Adamski5000): it's my girlfriend's account and I'm using I get my Xbox Live up and running. Alternatively, PM me on here.

I know that part, but the thing is I think it's better to have people you know play in this tournament since other random people in your friends list you invite who "aren't" on the forums wouldn't know the rules and such.

Couldn't TL's just explain the rules to their teams?

We'll be discussing more of these issues tonight so keep an eye for more updates.

I'll submit my team in this but I need a few clarifications.

- What is constitutes a glitch? Obviously Power-shot and ghostscratching and all that are but what other things that are more ambiguous? - (Here's a nice list of them Left 4 Dead - Glitch/Rule Clarifications - Left 4 Dead for Xbox 360 (Xbox360) Forum - GameBattles Forums)

Smoker Insta-kills and all that I'm more curious about, etc.

- How are we deciding maps?

I figured it was about time I get into this since I'm helping run it. XP

We're probably going to play strictly No Mercy, just because it's easiest, espically for people who may not have the Survival Pack [though I'm sure most of you do].
But that could change.

But we will either only do NM (so that its fair to each and every team), or we will hook each campaign to a number and use a RNG to figure out which round plays in which campaign.

And from skimming I'd go by the GameBattles L4D rules, I'll confirm this tomorrow after I've had more time to read through it all

Okay, if we go by GB rules. I'd happily enter the tournament. Maybe we can just see if the teams want to agree to a map - and if there are disagreements, we can revert back to NM.

But obviously the choice is up to you guys. :-
