I just deleted the MySQL database for the entire forums. For those of you who read “MySQL” and didn’t know what it meant, the MySQL database is the place where all the data for the forums is kept. Threads, posts, private messages, members, settings, etc etc etc.
Yeah, go me and my awesomeness. I’m not stupid, just careless. Did it and instantly realised and went…
Contacted support and they have managed to retrieve a database back up but (at this time) I don’t know how old it will be.
So I guess this is me saying I AM VERY, VERY SORRY.
If you have posted between the time of the back up and about an hour ago, your posts are lost. If you registered in that time you will need to re-register.
I feel like an utter tit. There is nothing else I can say.
I know not right now what we have lost but I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for posting here and keeping things active. I hope you can forgive me if the damage turns out to be terrible. I am confident that with the community we have established we can put things back together once more.
Now, please excuse me whilst I go find a large stone to crawl under.
Thank you
Alan
