I want L4D3, but not for a while. Valve should focus on DLC (THAT'S ALSO AVAILABLE FOR 360! Unlike the TF2 DLC), Half-Life 3, Counter Strike 2 & TF3.

Of course there's going to be Left 4 Dead 3 :P You seriously think they are going to kill such a successful franchise? I mean, look at the Halo Series. Still going. Look at Half - Life. Still going (I hope xD HURRY UP VALVE) and look at all the other Valve series. Most of them are still going so YES, there's going to be L4D3.

You do realize Half-Life is a single-player game with a plot? There's been two games (plus the two Episodes) in the past 11 years. There's been two TF games in the past 13 years. Two Counter-Strike games in the past 10 years (plus expansions). Three Halo games in the past 8 years (plus the spin-offs, the series is basically destroying itself now).

And how does releasing sequels/spin-offs 24/7 a good thing for a franchise? Look at Guitar Hero; they're basically disbanding the series with Band Hero (same dev, same publisher, same shit game).

I expect L4D3 to come out after the new engine (which will be out with Half-Life 3, somewhere around mid-2010s... hopefully.). The reason Left 4 Dead 2 was released is, most likely from what I've heard from statements and such, that their was so many great ideas they created a new game to save US money and make more money for them. Win/win.

I don't know why people are running around with their heads cut off thinking their's going to be another Left 4 Dead in November, 2010.

If you read my post properly, you would have noticed I never mentioned it coming out November 2010. You were saying there wasn't going to be one, I said there was. No release date involved..

Actually, if you would have read Magnum's post, you would have saw he mentioned a release date. My first post wasn't responding to an imaginary post you made, it was responding to Magnum's.

Abyss has a point, as the saying goes 'too many cooks spoil the broth'. More isn't always better. Half-Life 3 is what they need to focus on for sure.

Anyway, I see your point, I also think they should at least finish Half - Life 2 before going on L4D 3, but I don't think anything is going to stop Valve from making a third one, unless everyone stops playing L4D1 + 2, which is very unlikely..

Yep, Portal's amazing, but Half - Life is more amazing. I have to say you're the first L4D player I've met who doesn't like H-L. :P

My suggestions/hopes

I Hope L4D2 Lives long but just for fun these are thing I would like to Add in L4D3 if i could

-Director3.0
-I was Rather disappointed with the hyped up Director of L4D2 i would love to see a huge improvement)

-New Guns,
-Campaign Specific weapons
-Weapons should hold less ammo

-SI
-Campaign specific Skins

-Instead of new SI i think, Some of the SI should sometimes have slight differences each time it spawns.

-The Spitter will sometimes have the survivors become dizzy which reduces accuracy

-the Chargers will often throw a survivor instead of charging them.

-The Hunter will if chosen charge a survivor while crawling and knocking them over, Which will drop the surviors health 60% but over time the health will regenerate back

-The Boomer will often instead of spawning a horde will make them sick, Which will make them slow and stumble.

-A jockey if chosen will instead force a Survivor to drop all their supplies (except there pistol.) when jumped on.

My Idea: These changes will either randomly occur when you spawn
or you will choose when you want to have the change to happen.
either way you will know before you spawn

these changes are supposed to be trying to slow down the survivors.

-Campaign
-Campaigns of varying sizes, 2-6 chapters
-more Unique objects/environment, (EG: Gas Station in NM3)

-Bonus Points
-In Versus Mode, there should be some spots to get bonus points,
-an example would be the Mustatio games, thing like that, but if you do it in versus it could earn bonus points.

New Game Mode
UnNamed
-A new game mode for both Versus and Campaign,
-A game mode the length of versus but with a twist,

-There will be random amount of scattered Packages around the map,
-the team has to find and pick up as much as possible before entering the saferoom
-When a survivor picks up a Package them they lose there flashlight, if they pick up a second they lose their Medkit slot, pick up a 3rd and lose there pills slot, pick up a forth and they lose the explosive slot.
-for each package that is found and brought to the safe room the team earns 100 points.
-For each package picked up you get 50 points

Versus Survival
-Pretty self explanatory

Divided
-Each team has 2 Survivors and 2 infected players.
-Survivor cannot harm other survivors
-it is played in a scavenge like arena.
-both teams have to fight to survive at the same time,

Here is the twist, to keep the survivor moving, there will be a Gas canister that randomly spawns across the map, if a team finds it and empties it into the tank, than it will instantly boom the opposite team, and kill the opposite teams infected, because of this boomers wont be available in this mode.

True, I will admit that I was not straight forward, so I apologize. No need to disagree over something that's not there

How in god's name is the Hunter much more powerful then the Charger? Keep in mind you can't just make ideas based on one difficulty.

1. yah i really dont care for a versus Survival but i decided to add it anyway.

2. how would the hunter be stronger than the charger?
The hunter would run with the survivor just knock him to the floor for a couple moments, after this he will jump off and stop attacking the survivor and he would need to wait to do it again.

its hard to explain something it , but its in my head.
