I am not sure who "you guys" are, but I for one love MW2. I love it for different reasons than L4D2, as they are both... wait for it... different games.

Sure they are both FPS, but that is where the similarities end.

Too much going on on the screen at once. Totally over-rated, over-priced. It knocked back all the decent releases (BioShock 2, AvP, all Capcom games etc.) until this year.

That's why I hate MW2 and CoD in general.

I like Modern Warfare just fine. I don't like as much as some other shooters but I'm not super into military games. I do think that most shooter campaigns are pretty one dimensional, but I still play a lot of them. I'm a big Halo fan too, but don't really play it anymore just because it's gotten WAY old . Left 4 dead is by far my favorite shooter because I am really into Zombies and survival horror.

If you read my post properly, most L4D players I have played with are 'you guys', as you guys are L4D players. Geddit?!

Anyway, I know they are different, but it seems of all the games I play, L4D players seem to hate it the most. I mean, I play L4D all the time, but I enjoy other games too. I don't see why most L4D players I meet play nothing else, and expect me to play nothing else.

Okay, its over rated, but its not terrible, and too much on screen? Theres a minimap, ammo count and thats it. Like, the same as L4D.

Anyway, off topic, when I joined a random L4D2 game a while back with a friend, I came in a game with you and KittyInATophat :P Like totally random.

theres nothing wrong with MW2 IMO.

It just isnt as good a L4D IMO

I do hate how its so popular and everyone is always playing it and my friends are always playing/talking about it. i dont care if you like the game, just dont talk about it all the time.
I also hate how my friends always try to convert me into a MW2 player, and always encourage me to play. I will play sometimes but not all the time.

Nothing is wrong with the Campaign. Its actually well thought out and very intense.

Multiplayer is where the problems lie. Campers, nuke boosters, lag switchers, hackers, modders, etc. Its a game where multiplayer testing was not done well enough, some of the maps are terrible, and the game is just rage inciting.

And Goldeneye 64 is one of the greatest FPS ever made.

I don't like it, I agree with Joe, there is too much going on at once. It's like "SHOOTING--GRENADE--EXPLOSIONS--OMFG, I'M DEAD!?". Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that you can knife people, but it's not my kind of game.

Singleplayer is alrighty. Over cliched now but great locales.

It is an okay game when I get in the mood for some Deathmatch style game play. Where it fails is team based combat with random people.

I dare you to go find a random team based match on xbox live and find players who actually play as a team. More often then not what your going to run in to is two teams full of rambos attempting to win the match on their own...if they are even concerned about winning in the first place. Most games I've played have one - three _really_ good players who camp and rack up on kills while everyone else runs around like a chicken with their head cut off.

Yes I do know that there are some really organized teams out there but I've never gotten the chance to play with or against them. Such players seem to be a minority.

In L4D you have to play as a team. Don't your as good as dead and people will let you know it. Even the newbies know it is a good idea to kick the idiot that's running off by himself. In MW2 that idiot can run off and get killed a million times and no one seems to care.

Didn't pay much attention to COD4 then, obviously.

It was the Russians that picked up Price and MacTavish after MacTavish (player) guns down Zakhaev and the two soldiers next to him.

Russians rescued Price.
Between COD4 and MW2 relations between Russia and USA went to shit (all explained in the opening intro/few levels) and, one assumes, at this same instance (between MW1 and MW2) Price was kept by the Ruskies and sent to the Gulag instead of being returned like MacTavish was.

You have to remember there are 5 years between the end of MW1 and MW2. MacTavish and the rest thought Price was infact dead, which is why they didn't know he was Prisioner 627.

I dislike MW2 because it's like they put that whole Russian airport terrorism thing in there just to be shocking and controversial.
And because it's impossible to get attached to any character in any way. In Left 4 Dead (and other Valve games), the characters REALLY grow on you.
