Left 4 Dead Video Walkthrough of the Hospital Level Looks Awesome, Gives Me the Creeps

I don't like how fast it is. I mean you simply bust in, and run from room to room to find zombies. Kind of takes away the whole suspense thrill in my opinion. Even when running backwards it's pretty fast. It seems a bit arcade'ish.

Give us a demo though, something! Gah.

Hospital? I would call that Street. I noticed that there was a crosshair, I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the final game will not come with crosshairs normally so, most likely, this is a DEMO and not a footage of the release version gameplay. Could this be a hint at a Multiplayer Demo???

Oh, God! Fence jumping zombies. AND Body looting? YES! Anyone notice if reloading with a full magazine takes away from total bullets left or will the magazine just fill up like most shooters? Man, that player was too gun-ho and obviously played a bit of CS.

This doesn't have singleplayer, its multi player. The game will come with crosshairs. This is a walkthrough of one of the levels.

The game does indeed have singleplayer Leroy.

You play with AI companions against AI enemies.

And I've never heard anything regarding no cross-hairs...

Actually you have the AI and when someone joins they take one of the positions of the AI.

Why would there be a single player for a game that's meant for multilayer.

There is a singleplayer - you can play with bots, just like in counter-strike or Unreal Tournament, but it's better online.

Its called offline play, not singleplayer, which means has missions to do, other than doing what you do in online. But I guess you can call it whatever you want.

Leroy, single player does not require there to be missions...

Single player is simply having a single player.

And nowhere have I seen anything saying that a player can take the place of a bot. If you start the game with bots, I imagine the whole round would be with bots.

When you start a game, you in control of one player, there would be bots filled for both sides, until other people joined up and filled the positions that can be controlled. Unless your thinking there's going to be one survival against all these infected online, while waiting for more people. Which is why there are the bots on online.

Well, the way I see it there is a lobby, similar to those in RPG games (DoW, WC3, etc) and when you have the people you want, you start the game, after that, noone joins.

If you can find evidence otherwise, I'll believe it, 'til then... Nope.

Players can replace bots and I imagine if a player joins in the middle of a game they have to wait until the team finishes the round then they replace the bot.

You can join in even when they already going.
