Yes, I just saw this reading through the interview with Doug Lambardi that Leroy just posted.

No great drama I don't reckon... I'm just waiting for WHEN IS THE DEMO to show up in this thread... I don't think he'll take it so well...

Sucks that there won't be a demo before the launch but it's still a day one STEAM purchase for me. I was looking forward to a demo though so I could get a taste before hand. Ah well.

there really should be a demo/beta whatever, ive seen 200 gameplay vids from IGU and gameinformer and if valve can send them that, then why not release something for xbox live (xbox 360) (no shit), or a download at filefront.com on the pc (duh?)

for halo 3 i remember that bungie made a beta on the marketplace
