The entire Resident Evil series is awash with zombies and is a fantastic game series.

the only way of victory I see, against a fast zombie horde, is an Apache helicopter with missiles and .50 cal machine gun
or an M1 tank

A fast zombie horde can be stopped far easier than a slow zombie horde.

A bullet to even the leg will stop a fast zombie in most cases, with the slow zombies you won't kill a single one if you panic... The fast ones you'll kill many; panic or not.

But what I initially meant was "realistic" slow zombies... I.e. mobs, headshots only, large areas where they are just about everywhere, etc...

What I'm saying is that if you panic you've got a damned good chance of stopping a fast zombie. Whereas a slow zombie requires a headshot; something that panic will make very unlikely.

Oh and lol, I'm pretty handy with a .22 but I doubt I could hit the side of a barn while running in a panic

Not unlike in Dawn of the Dead they also were running but ONLY could stop by shooting its head.
