That would be a neat idea. I would love if as it was on your back you could run around in the third person view, like having complete control of your movement. It would give new meaning to "Get this thing off of me!"

Maybe it sounds stupid, hhvnt read trough all of the replies either, but why should only humans be infected.

If they launch new zombies, why not sorth of a bug-type infected? I mean, imagine, suddenly a zombie bug crawling up your back and you need a teammate to get it off..

well actualy I agree ... usually said plague is carried by vermin / birds not just transference from person to person .... if the infection is everywere then it must have been transported in some way by animals aswell ...

I think the freaker would function better if he worked like I previously mentioned, wiggling the victim's view, making aiming very difficult but still allowing them to move, if a little swervy. Since he'd do no damage and not make the victim fully helpless, he could be stronger elsewhere such as having some melee resistance, making him useful against closets (causing the guy in the back to swerve and shoot his teammates, or just generally creating havoc).

It'd also be neat if latching on to them gave you a small amount of control over their movement, so you could attempt to walk them into witches or off ledges. :P

Id like to see a real 'boss infected' for a finale. I picture like a huge octopus type creature that is half buried in the ground, or water, with just its head and tentacles visible. It could smash you or grab you and pull you into its mouth, if you dont bust the tentacle in time you get munched. Anyways im sure they could do better than that but you get the idea. A big ass boss you must first kill in order for the evac to show up.

what every zombie game needs. A FREAKING CHAINSAW! maybe only one hidden in the campaign, and its hidden in a diff spot every time. the 'chainsawer' would run in front and be covered in red goo from all teh zombie guts. it could incap a survivor in one hit and does 100dmg per 'hit', but makes you run a little slower so you may have to dump it when taking on a tank.

Keep the weapons realistic. Graw kitty, yours is a nice idea, but you have to think like a game maker. Consider EVERY exploit they could come up with. You have to keep it good. Wiggling the view, and suddenly barfed on too? It wouldn't even be fun, it'd just make you want to quit.

I'm not sure how plausible this would be, but it would be cool to have some infected that could do something other than barf on a survivor, and then they would see regular infected all around them, tempting them to waste ammo and possibly hit teammates. Just an idea.

Boomer's got it covered. Though, I would like to see more than just one horde in the case of more than one person getting barfed on.

The Tanks is tough, the Smoker can seperate, the Hunter is acrobatic, the boomer is..... a boomer.

I want to see something that utilizes fear. I would also want it to be able to counter melee spam.

Hmmm... What about this: a "pack leader" style infected. It could spawn with 20 or so regular infected, could run much faster then standard infected (including its pack) and has the same knockdown ability of the hunter. Should it escape unharmed from a attack its build up meter could let it summon a new pack.

Dizzle, no point. After 2 hits by whatever it was, it wouldn't scare the player. And if you mean the actual in-game fear, if I lost control of a character and he ran I'd probably shut the game off, take it to GameStop, and get AC5.

To the Shark. A good funny quote. "I want sharks with laser beams attached to their frickin' heads!" Probably not 100% right. Austin Powers.

EDIT: Let's put some boss zombies instead of the Tanks. I mean, real BOSS zombies. No Mercy could have a trauma patient, like our little freaker idea, but upgraded (So we can have a normal special infected Freaker). The airport (I forgot the name of the one after NM, so I went to DA) could have a security guard with guns, or a gun. With 400 health or more of course. 4 guns versus one sucks. Blood Harvest could have a reaper. A 50 point damage swipe and it pushes nearby people around. Slow reload time. Only 100-200 health. It will reiterize teamwork, and force you to wait around windows for him to pick him off before he can get to you.

Death Toll... Could have... Hmm. Give ideas!!
