He didn't understand what his reading were telling him, nothing made sense. His first sketchy reading told him their was massive energy surge. Then the reading showed massive energy release that he couldn't detect, but obviously could. Then he quite literally blacked out.

Rick awoke feeling like some body was playing the drums on his head. His head hurt bad and how. He was tired and aching all over. He looked over to see his first officer, he was dead. Rick noticed every one was dead. It disturbed him greatly to see every body was dead. Rick got up and immediately checked the helm control, they weren't responding. He tried the old fashion method of hitting it, but then the computer sputtered, started sparking, and then died. Rick wasn't all to happy, his first job was to to reach main engineering.

He reach it in very short amount of time because the lift were still working. His first priority was to the engines, which he checked. They weren't working, and they didn't respond to his commands, but they were intact. Good news is he could get home. Suddenly, he thought he saw one of the dead crew members twitch. Rick thought he was only survivor of disaster that has befallen his ship. Then he saw it again, some kind of jerky movement. He rushed over to fallen man, "Don't move," Ricki said. The man continued to twitch in till he started spasm. Suddenly the man reach and grabbed Rick. Rick couldn't react fast enough, and man grabbed him forcefully. Rick struggled for moment with the man, then through the man off of him. The man leaned forward in painfully impossible way, literally looking like he snapped his spinal cord, ripped his muscle, and leaned forward, then preceded to drag him self toward rick dragging his lower half along the ground. Rick didn't no what to do about this, the man should be dead, but he wasn't. He could go get a first aid kit, but would be the damn point?

He didn't like the way man was acting. In irrational move, he grabbed a Magnetic resonator pistol or also known as a rail pistol from one of his fallen comrades. He then aimed it at the man and asked softly for him to stop. The man gave no reply. So Rick again asked a bit louder for the man to stop. The man made no attempt to stop. Finally rick yelled at the man to stop. Rick raised the pistol aimed, and fired. The dart hit the target traveling at 25,000 feet per second releasing all of its kinetic energy in to the target. The round caused almost a explosion sending the mans chest flying backwards and crashing in to the ground next to his lower half. He thought the man was dead, no one could survive that kind of energy. The new weapons were 100% lethal with a 0% survival chance. Yet the man turned his twisted distorted body around, and then stood up. Rick heard the man's bone cracking and realigning; A dead man was walking.

Rick couldn't believe his eyes as he slowly started backing up. Then all at once in one big symphony, all of the bodies begin to to spasm and then stood up, all fifteen engineers. Rick raised his weapon for the second time and fired. The round caved in a girl chest, and she collapsed to the ground still moving.
