too many posts for me to be bothered to read through so i dunno if this has been said

I'd wear tight fitting leathers and big ass boots (goth ones, some seem to have spikes lol)
head gear would be again a tight leather hat (something i can tie under my neck) or some kinda bike helmet.

reason for the leather is thats what they use for motorbikes because (happened to me) it takes some serious skidding at high speeds to rip through proper leather and i seriously doubt the human mouth (even an infected mouth) could bite through it

I'd use any clothes which are very durable and very, very warm, given the fact I live in Northern Europe. So preferably it'd be a warm leather jacket, layers of clothes underneath, winter boots, and if at all possible, a fur hat, not a cap.

I've yet to come across any cap that is warmer than one made of fur. Oh and I'd have jeans with varying layers of clothes underneath.

edit: the reason I said jeans and not some goretex-made überstuff cause I'm guessing every place will most likely have been looted or inaccessible due to the infected. Sure, it'd be wet, and wouldn't dry out, but I'd just have to make me a nice bonfire of the infected... and watch thousands more flock to it.

edit2: oh yeah, how'd I act? Get seriously hurt and it's bye. If you don't get eaten you'll freeze or the wound will get infected by some other virus cause seriously, there are absolutely NO doctors around. Tough luck.

Let us start from the top.

Head:
- Black skimask.
- Black goggles ( Incase any zombie tries spitting acid at me ).
- Gasmask w/ oxygen ( There would be an oxygen convertion system, so that infected air would be turned into oxygen ).

Top Half:
- Black Shirt ( Something tight fitting, like an underarmour ).
- Black Shirt ( Something long, a t-shirt to go over the underarmour ).
- Black Hoodie ( Something that would have many layers of padding ).

Bottom Half:
- Black Boxer Briefs ( Something that would not allow chafing, that would be the last thing I would want ).
- Baggy Jeans ( Something I would be able to move fast in, but I would want them to be secured with a tight belt ).

Hands:
- Black Ductape ( A first layer, so that my hand's do not get bloody ).
- Tight Gloves ( Right over the ductape, to prevent anything from getting to the ductape ).
- Loose, comfortable Gloves ( To use incase the zombies had some sort of infection over there skin that I didnt want to touch ).

Feet:
- Black Socks, Three Pairs ( I would not want just one pair, incase they got torn ).
- Timbs / Boots ( I would deffinatly not want regular shoes on, I would want something I know would last, another alternative would be Nike's, something to run in ).

I would try to keep my cool, it would be hard though. Honestly, I know this sound's really wierd, but whenever i'm with my friend's, and it is dark out, I alway's say something like " Damn, it would be cool if there was a zombie outbreak, and we all had gun's and stuff. " ( No, I am no where near a nerd either, I have just been interested in zombies and shit for awhile ).

heh i;d be wearing a balaclava and Duke Nukems Black Sunglasses with a DC beanie and a smoke in my mouth black T-shirt with black leather jacket and Denim Jeans with a knife sheath near my sides and a sword sheath on the back of me with some 1000$ watch and skull ring and combat gloves very good gripped and Combat boots with a backpack complete with 2 Deagles an AK-47 and 2 stielhangrenates pretty cool huh
