You should at least check out this demo. Gate's and I jumped into some MP this evening and it was a freakin blast. Runs very smooth, no lag or disconnection issues at all. Grab the demo and let's get our frag on!

The demo is a gold rush mode.

Attacking:

On the map you'll notice triangles. Those are the containers with the gold in them. You need to get up to one (which is the hard part if the defending team is doing their job) and hold circle close to it to plant charges. After that get out of there but also guard the area so that the defending team doesn't run up and disarm them. Takes about 20 seconds for it to go off.

Once you get the first two, you claim that base and we're off to the next. I think there are 6-8 in total. Can't remember if it's 6 or 8. Each match can last between 30-60 minutes.


Defending:

Simple. Don't let the other team blow the containers. Same as planting, hold circle to disarm a bomb once it's been planted.


Simple enough, fun as hell.

I bought a PS3 and have been using it more often. Turned out to be the better system, for me, which is surprising as I've been an Xbox fanboi since the last gen.

I'll probably see you when GoW2 is released though. We can group up and beat the game in online co-op.

The one thing to look out for though: artillery is kind of a joke. When you're on the attacking team you have access to an artillery gun at the main base (Outpost). One person can operate it, and you don't have to apply for a commander position like you did in BF2. So the downside is, a lot of idiots want to use it to get a lot of kills so they'll team kill to get it. Then the person who was team killed is pissed and it turns out to be a TK battle which ends up hurting the rest of the team. I've seen it happen a couple of times, but there are bad apples in every game. It should just be removed imo.

Also there always seems to be too many snipers at times. Sniping is fine and all and I like it just as much as the next guy, but when most of your team is out sniping, no one is planting the charges; so it can be a bit frustrating. I noticed though that once you move up to the city base, sniping is almost impossible as you're now in an urban area with a lot of buildings.

Two minor flaws though, nothing to really complain about.

I played it last night, I immediately got bored of it after a match. It's a little slow, like Halo 3 (Guess I have been playing CoD4 too much, it runs sooooo SMOOTH especially for an online game) plus, the aim system sucks so badly for some weapons. The HUD is a little confusing for me but it needs time to get used to it. Sometimes there are a lot of running and searching it gets boring at times... the maps are a little too large.

The vehicles are a little hard and confusing to maneuver, the only one I liked was the Bradly.

Will they improve this? I mean it's a demo, not fully finished right?

Oh yes, I never played Gow though but I have seen so many videos about the second one... it looks amazing!!

The first one's pretty damn good too, easily better than Halo, perhaps near on a par with COD4

Thats not why I went offline. For some reason for the first time since I had my PS3 everyone on my buddy list decided to get on at once. Seriously I got so many messages, invites, and on alert notices that I don't think I saw my ammo amount in GTA for a solid ten minutes.

Anyway I have the demo I just have to install it. If you don't get me today or tomorrow I am gonna have to be home all day wednesday so you can catch me then.

P.S. freindly warning about background downloading on the PS3. If you are playing a game with a large install AKA DMC4 be sure and turn off your downloads before going into the game otherwise the game will take forever to load and or freeze when it try's to access the HDD. Games with small installs or no installs run fine with background downloads. Learned this the hard way the other day. It won't hurt the system but its annoying as shit.

So....the PS3 geeks are gonna get into Battlefield games. Nice....now if dam M$ and Sony would only work together and let PS3, XBox and PC play together, all would be right with the world.

yeah i didnt like it ...but ive gotten like pro at halo 3 and cant stop playing gta 4 with my friends so all games seem to look kinda of shitty
